Hi everyone! I'm Liyun, and I'm finally going to Seoul for a few days on a business trip next month. I'm planning to take some time to experience Korean beauty culture. To be honest, I've always been interested in K-beauty, but the products I've used in Taiwan are limited. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for skincare brands or treatments? My skin is dry and sensitive, so I'd especially like to try gentle yet effective skincare products.
I've heard that Seoul has many areas with a high concentration of beauty clinics, and the atmosphere seems quite different. I'm also curious about what the treatments there are like. Although I don't have any specific plans for any major treatments, maybe trying a facial or skin analysis would be interesting? However, I don't know much about this, so has anyone been to any clinics and could share their experience?
Also, I'd like to ask, besides department stores, what are some must-see places for beauty products in Seoul? I want to buy some things that I can't usually find elsewhere, but I don't want to be ripped off by tourist prices (laughs). If any of you have experience, I'd really appreciate it!

Ah, I totally understand! It was my first time in Seoul too and I was really overwhelmed looking for products suitable for sensitive skin, haha. For facials or skin analysis, maybe try looking for places with lots of tourists but not in overly touristy areas so you don't end up paying too much—just ask the local staff at your hotel or convenience store, they're usually helpful! Hopefully, you'll find good products and treatments for your dry, sensitive skin! 🙂
You have dry and sensitive skin, just like me! If you're getting a facial in Seoul, it's a good idea to explain your skin condition thoroughly during the pre-treatment consultation. Also, instead of department stores, try wandering around the street shops in Myeongdong or Gangnam; you'll find lots of great products that aren't geared towards tourists. 😊
Hey girl, I have dry, heavy skin too! I'm currently looking for gentle yet calming products. Lee Wen, are you planning to stop by your favorite brand counter that serves up products for sweet-skinned people and do some light facials? Let me know when you get back and what useful things you found!
