I never thought I'd be writing something like this, but I'm so frustrated and desperate for help that I felt I had to post.
My family member underwent liposuction on their thighs, and the recovery process has been completely different from what we expected.
We understood that some swelling and lumpiness might occur after surgery, so we waited patiently. The hospital also told us that things would improve with time...
However, even after the expected recovery period, the condition hasn't significantly changed.
Specifically, one side of the inner thigh appears noticeably sunken, and the lines on both sides are very different.
When touched, there are still hardened areas, and it's been quite some time, so it's hard to attribute this to simple swelling. There's been almost no improvement.
Most importantly, my sibling is suffering mentally. They already lacked confidence due to their appearance, and now they can't wear shorts or skirts at all and are even avoiding meeting people. As a family, it's incredibly painful to see them like this.
Currently, we are organizing pre- and post-surgery photos, medical records, and communications with the hospital as much as possible. We are also carefully considering options like medical dispute resolution or legal action.
If anyone knows a lawyer who has extensive experience with medical malpractice or plastic surgery litigation, please recommend them.
Also, if anyone has gone through a medical dispute or lawsuit, I would be incredibly grateful if you could share your experiences. What additional documents did you prepare, and what were the crucial aspects to focus on during the process?
