Hi everyone! I'm Mengju from Taiwan. I'm planning a cosmetic surgery trip to Seoul this year, but honestly, I'm a bit unsure about where to stay.
I've heard there are many cosmetic clinics in Gangnam and Apgujeong, which seems convenient, right? But I'm not sure if hotels there are particularly expensive, or if there are other areas suitable for foreigners. Has anyone been there and stayed there before? How did you choose your accommodation?
Also, I'd like to ask, is it more convenient to stay near a cosmetic clinic or in a more lively tourist area (like Myeongdong or Hongdae)? I want to be able to go out and about during my recovery period, so I don't want to be tied to the clinic area. Does anyone have any experience to share? I'd love to hear everyone's advice!

Hi! Quick question - how many days do you plan to stay in Seoul overall? Because I'm wondering if it's better to be close to the clinic for the first few days and then move around later, and I don't know how you'll feel after the surgery 😅
Hey! When I went to Seoul last year, I chose to stay in a more central area, so I could easily get around but also be close to a clinic if I needed it. It's true that prices can be more affordable in the surrounding areas than in the center, and you can still explore the city without having to travel far from a treatment center. Good luck with your planning! 😊
I'm also considering doing the same thing in Seoul! I feel it would be better to find a place that's not too far from the hospital but not too remote either, so that during the recovery period it's convenient to go for follow-up appointments and also to go out for a walk. Your idea is very realistic.
