Hi everyone! My name is Thu, and I'm from Vietnam. I'm planning a trip to Seoul focusing on beauty treatments and skincare, and I need advice from those of you who have experience there.
I've heard that Gangnam and Apgujeong are hot spots for aesthetic treatments, but I'm not sure where to stay. Do any of you have experience in these areas? Are they really concentrated with beauty salons as people say? And are they safe and easy to get around in?
Also, I'd like to know whether it's better to book Airbnb or a hotel near those areas? Which is more convenient for solo travelers? I'm afraid of getting lost, haha. Has anyone stayed near those areas and can share their experience?
Thanks in advance! I'm looking forward to hearing from those with real-life experience. 💕

I totally understand how you feel, Thuy! I had similar anxieties when I first went to Seoul. The Gangnam area definitely has lots of beauty-related shops, so it feels safe walking around even if you're traveling alone. The subway is also easy to understand, so you shouldn't get lost. 💕
Hi Tui! I feel the same way — I’m planning to go to Seoul and get some community information. I’m also very interested in hearing about Gangnam from other expats who have had the same experience. 😊
Hi Thuy! I'm also planning a trip to Seoul for the same purpose, so I'm excited to read your post! From what I've heard, the area does have a lot of options, but it's really crowded, so I'm still looking to gather more info from those who have been there before booking accommodation, hehe. Hopefully, we can get some good tips from here! 💕
Hi Thui! Really enjoyed reading your post 😊 I'm also curious—about how long are you planning to stay in Seoul for your beauty treatment? I want to know if it's more worth it to stay in Gangnam or another area, depending on how many days you're there.
I understand! I had similar anxieties at first. The Qiangnan area really has a lot of beauty-related shops, and I think it's easy to get around even if you're traveling alone. Hotels offer great support, so it might be reassuring if it's your first time 😊
