Hi all! I'm Shaina from California, and I just found this community yesterday — honestly, I'm kind of obsessed already. I've been lurking through threads for hours lol. So basically, I got really into Korean skincare like two years ago when a friend came back from Seoul and her skin was *glowing*. She brought me some products and I was like, okay this is different. The whole approach to skincare just makes so much sense to me, especially the layering thing and how focused everything is on prevention rather than just fixing problems.
Anyway, that turned into me watching a bunch of YouTube videos and reading forums, and now I'm at the point where I'm genuinely curious about visiting Korea to maybe explore some aesthetic treatments while I'm there. Not anything major, I think — just interested in learning more about what's available and what people's actual experiences are like. I know there's a huge difference between what you see online and what's real.
I'd love to hear from anyone who's been to Korea for beauty stuff, or even just people who are really into the skincare journey! Would be cool to connect with folks who get why this stuff is so interesting. Excited to be here! 💕

Hi Shayna! I'm just like you. My best friend came back from Seoul with such glowing skin that I started looking into K-beauty 😂 I'm also considering a trip to Seoul to experience these services myself, as I've heard the online experience and the reality can be quite different. So happy to connect with others who share this passion here!
