Hi everyone! I'm Mega from Indonesia, and I'm planning a trip to Seoul next month specifically for beauty treatments. I'm really curious about popular areas like Gangnam and Apgujeong – from what I've read, there are tons of clinics and aesthetic places there.
But honestly, I'm a bit confused, because there are so many choices. 😅 Which area is the most convenient for foreigners? And more importantly, where do you think I should stay? I prefer something walkable and close to treatment facilities. Is it better to stay directly in that area, or are there other areas that are more convenient?
Has anyone traveled to Seoul specifically for beauty treatments? Can you share your experiences and tips? I'd also like to know how you dealt with communication at clinics, researching the clinics, and the general vibe of those areas. What budget-wise should I prepare for accommodation?
Thanks in advance! I'm so happy to ask questions here 💕

Mega, I also went to Seoul for the same reason! I found Gangnam to be the most convenient because it's close to beauty salons and has many restaurants and cafes where you can relax after each treatment. A little tip: try to learn a few simple Korean phrases or download a translation app before you go, as it makes communicating with the staff much easier! 😊
Mega, I understand! I was in a similar situation and was undecided. 😅 The Qiangnan area is convenient because it has a concentration of facilities, but the accommodation costs are quite high, aren't they? In the end, I chose a city hotel close to the station and commuted to the clinic from there. I recommend comparing reviews and information on websites aimed at foreigners!
Hi Meijia! I stayed near Gangnam when I went to Seoul last time, and walking to the clinic was super convenient 😊 I suggest you use Google Maps to check the places you want to go in advance and then choose accommodation within walkable distance, so that you can rest more easily after surgery. However, you might need to email or send a Kakao message to the clinic a few weeks in advance to confirm whether they have staff who can communicate in English or Chinese, which will save you a lot of trouble!
