Hello, my name is Asuka. I'm actually going to Seoul for the first time next month for beauty purposes, and I'm already so excited! I've been hooked on Korean cosmetics for a while, but I'm hoping to try various things that can only be experienced locally.
I have a question about skincare: would it be better to get recommendations for products that suit my skin at local cosmetic counters or beauty stores? I have dry skin, so are there any special care methods or trends that are popular right now? Also, I'm a bit curious about areas that are like "clinic streets," so I'd be happy if you could tell me which areas are famous.
For those who have been to Seoul, what kind of skincare experiences do you actually recommend? I'm a little worried about getting ripped off (lol), so any advice would be a great help. Thank you in advance!

Wow, I'm also planning a trip to Seoul next month and really want to explore local skincare! I'm also concerned about dry skin, so I'm happy to read your post — hopefully, we can share experiences later, hehe. By the way, I'm also worried about the prices, but I think if we go to official counters or legit stores, it should be fine!
Hi Asuka, I also just got back from Seoul last month! I recommend you visit the large cosmetic stores to try products before buying; the staff there are very dedicated to helping you choose based on your skin type. For dry skin like yours, there are quite a few serums and essences that would be suitable. You should ask them thoroughly about the benefits, don't be shy. Have a wonderful trip! 😊
