I have sores and pimples in my intimate area, so I thought it might be a ventilation issue.
I switched all my underwear to 100% cotton, though.
But even after a week, the chafing and stinging sensations haven't gone away at all.
I don't have excessive discharge or any bad odor, but I'm wondering if this is the early symptom of atrophic vaginitis or vaginal dryness that I've only heard about.
Please give me some tips if you've resolved this.
I don't think it's serious enough to go to the hospital, but should I go before it gets worse?

I think it's not so much a problem with your underwear, but rather that your skin barrier is already compromised due to dryness. Please try visiting a hospital and getting Zyner treatment. It's a wound dressing containing Rejuran PN, and it helps with regeneration and effectively relieves internal dryness.
I've experienced something similar. Even after switching to all-cotton underwear, I still had a persistent stinging sensation, which was really annoying 😭. Later, I consulted a doctor and found out that it might not just be a ventilation issue. I suggest you see a doctor as soon as possible to put your mind at ease, so you don't regret it if it gets worse.
