I finally got some time off, so I'm going to Seoul next month! 🎉 I've always been interested in Korean cosmetics, and I'm also thinking of trying out some beauty treatments.
I'm particularly interested in aesthetic skin management and skincare treatments. We have dermatology clinics in Japan too, but I've heard Seoul has so many of those facilities... what's it really like? Has anyone been before?
Also, do the shops have different vibes depending on the area, like Myeongdong or Gangnam? It's my first time, so I'm not really sure which area is best for beginners 😅 I want to visit lots of cosmetic shops and get consultations for skincare products too...
I'd be so happy if you could share any recommended ways to spend my time or things I should watch out for!

Oh, I feel the same way! When I first went to Seoul, I was confused about where to go, but after experiencing it, I realized that each neighborhood truly has a different vibe. Personally, I enjoy strolling through areas with small shops and places that offer product consultations. I'm also curious to know what experiences others have had with getting skincare treatments here 😊
My last trip to Seoul was also my first time getting a facial. My experience was to first go shopping at cosmetic stores to understand my skin type. The staff there will give recommendations, and then when you look for treatments, you'll be clearer about what you want! Gangnam has a lot of options, so it won't be too complicated if you're visiting for the first time 😊
Reading your post, I totally relate! 😄 I also just got back from Seoul last month and truly feel that different areas have distinct vibes. Personally, I love exploring various shops because each spot offers a unique experience. I hope you have a fun and insightful trip!
