Hey everyone! So I'm finally making the trip to Seoul in a few months and I'm honestly a little overwhelmed with where to base myself. I know Gangnam and Apgujeong are like the big hubs for clinics and aesthetics, but I'm not sure which area would be better for me as a first-timer?
I'm mainly interested in skincare treatments and maybe a consultation for something I've been thinking about, but I don't want to be stuck in a super touristy area where everything feels expensive or hard to navigate. Has anyone stayed near Gangnam or Apgujeong and can share what it was actually like? Were the neighborhoods easy to get around? Good food and cafes nearby?
Also, I'm curious if there are other areas that people recommend that might be a little quieter but still have good clinics? I don't need to be in the absolute center of things. Budget-wise, I'm trying to be realistic about accommodation costs, so any tips would help!
Would love to hear from other international visitors about their experiences. Even if you went for different reasons, general neighborhood vibes would be super helpful. Thanks! 😊

This is my first time in Seoul too, and I feel your concerns are very valid! My friends told me that Gangnam is indeed very crowded and expensive, but if you're looking for skincare treatments, they're relatively concentrated, so you might need to spend more time comparing options. I'm also looking for a relatively quiet place with good medical aesthetic resources. Do any of you ladies from other areas have recommendations?
I'm planning a similar trip too, and I totally understand your thoughts! I think you don't necessarily need to squeeze into the very city center. Some slightly off-the-beaten-path areas actually have great reputations, more reasonable prices, and interesting cafes and shops. I hope everyone can share some real experiences so that those of us going for the first time can have a better idea of what to expect 😊
