hey everyone! I'm flying to Seoul in like 6 weeks and I'm honestly so excited I can barely sleep lol. I've been into K-beauty for years now but never actually been there, so I want to make the most of it while I'm there.
I'm definitely planning to hit up some skincare shops and maybe get a facial or two, but I'm also curious about the aesthetic clinics — like, what kind of experiences should I look into? I've heard so much about treatments that are popular over there but way less common back home. Has anyone gone specifically for non-invasive stuff like skin treatments or consultations? I'm not trying to do anything crazy, just want to see what's available and maybe get some pro advice.
Also lowkey wondering about the vibe of just walking around the different beauty districts? Is it worth spending a whole day just browsing, or should I make appointments in advance? Any tips for someone who barely speaks Korean would be super helpful 😅 I'm not worried about the cost side too much, just want to have real experiences and maybe find some routines or products that work better for my skin.
TIA! This community always has the best advice 💕

Haha, I also went to Seoul for the first time last year! I suggest you browse the beauty shops first, try out different brands of skincare products to find what suits you, and then book your treatments. That's what I did; the consultant gave me a lot of advice based on my feedback after trying the products, which felt much more targeted 😊
I understand, it's exciting to be in Seoul for the first time! 😄 I have a question, Poster, have you used K-beauty skincare products before? Or are you looking to get advice locally and choose from scratch? I'm in a similar situation, so I'd love to hear your opinion!
Wow, I'm planning a similar trip too! I really want to try their skincare consultation; I've heard professional skin analysis makes a big difference. Your idea is fantastic! I think it's better to consult first and then decide, so you can truly understand your skin's needs 😊
