Hi everyone! I'm Yating from Taiwan. I'm planning a beauty trip to Seoul this fall and wanted to ask for any recommendations.
I've heard that Gangnam and Apgujeong have a high concentration of cosmetic clinics, and it seems like a lot of people go there. But I'm not really sure where would be the most convenient area to stay. I was thinking if I stayed closer to the clinics, it might be easier during the recovery period? I'm wondering if anyone has stayed there before and could share their experience of living in different areas?
I'm also curious how everyone chooses where to go. Do some people pick a specific area for a particular treatment? Or is it pretty much the same everywhere, and you mainly look at clinic reviews and the doctor's reputation? This will be my first time, so I'm a bit nervous but also very excited, haha.
Any advice is welcome, thank you!

I totally get how you feel! I'm also a first-time visitor from overseas 😅 Maybe try staying somewhere close to the hospital? Because honestly, recovery involves quite a few follow-up appointments. But you also need to consider the location's convenience. I'm wondering about the same thing right now. If anyone has stayed in that area before, please share your experience!
Hello! I'd like to know how many days you, Yating, plan to stay because I'm still not settled, and I'm wondering if staying near the clinic would be inconvenient in terms of finding the doctor or exploring the city 😅 Could you share your experience?
Hi Yating! I'm also from Taiwan and visited Seoul last fall 😊 My advice is that staying somewhere with convenient transportation is more important than staying near the hospital, because the subway system is so well-developed and you can get anywhere quickly. I chose to stay near Myeongdong. Although it's a bit far from Gangnam, it was super convenient for going out to shop and eat during my recovery period, and it made me feel less cooped up. You might want to consider this!
Hey Yating! I totally get the nervousness—I'm from the US and felt the same way planning my first trip here too! Honestly, I'd say staying somewhere convenient to where you're going matters more for recovery peace of mind, so maybe looking at neighborhoods near the areas you're interested in would help you feel less stressed about getting around afterward. Good luck with your trip! 😊
Hello Yating! This is also my first time going to Seoul, and I'm currently struggling with which area to stay in 😄 I feel like your idea is very practical; being close to the hospital during recovery would indeed be more convenient. I've also heard many people go there, but some say that with the subway system being so extensive, it doesn't matter where you stay, as nothing will be too far? However, I still lean towards staying closer for peace of mind haha, looking forward to hearing what experienced sisters have to say~
