Hi everyone! I'm Jiaqi from Taiwan. I'm planning a trip to Seoul next spring for a beauty treatment and want to explore the area. I've heard a lot about the Gangnam and Apgujeong areas, with tons of beauty clinics, but honestly, I'm a bit clueless about the geography (laughs).
Has anyone been there before? Are there really as many clinics in those areas as people say? Also, how do you plan your trips? Is it more convenient to stay nearby, or is it okay to stay elsewhere? This is my first time planning a trip like this, so I'm a little nervous.
I'd also like to know your experiences – as a foreign tourist, are there any essential tips? Like transportation, booking methods, or areas with good safety and environment? I'd like to find a safe and convenient place to stay. If anyone has recently been to Seoul or frequently visits, I'd love to hear your advice! Thanks!

Oh hey Jiaqi! I'm actually planning something similar for next spring too, so your post is super helpful! From what I've read, staying somewhere central with good subway access makes exploring different neighborhoods way easier—you're not stuck in one area and can pop around to check out different vibes. Definitely don't stress about the geography; once you're there the metro is honestly really foreigner-friendly!
I'm a foreigner too, so I understand your anxiety! I think staying near areas with many places you want to visit is the most convenient, but everything has pros and cons, so it depends on each person's travel style.
