My name is Thu, and I'm going to Seoul for a week to visit some spas and get some beauty treatments. I've heard a lot about Gangnam and Apgujeong, but I'm not very familiar with them 😅 Have any of you experienced these areas? I'd like to know which one is really convenient for getting around between beauty salons, and which has nearby restaurants and cafes for waiting or recovery?
Regarding accommodation, I'm confused about which area to choose. Does anyone suggest staying near these areas? I want something with plenty of beauty options, not too far from the metro, and safe for a solo female traveler. My budget is a bit balanced – not too luxurious, but comfortable too 😄
Hmm, it seems like Apgujeong and Gangnam have more foreign customers than Myeongdong, right? Is that a good reason to choose them, or is it just marketing? Do you have any tips for my first time getting beauty treatments in Seoul? I'm a little worried because my English is only so-so 😅 Thanks everyone!

I was thinking about the same thing too! 😄 Many people here say that the two areas have everything close to each other and transportation is easy, but I'm still hesitant about what exactly is the difference between them.
Hey Tuấy, do you have any experience with going to spas and beauty salons abroad? I'm also worried about communicating in English like you, so I'd like to know how you prepare to avoid misunderstandings about what you want to do 😊
After reading this, I feel so much better! I'm the first one here too 😅 The Korean characters and language were really overwhelming at first, but with a translation app and Google Maps, it's manageable. Most people going to beauty salons are interested in convenient locations with nearby restaurants because they're staying for a long time and need to rest. Try looking for places like that!
