I had been living with my looks "nerfed" by wearing glasses, but I finally got SMILE LASIK done... I wanted to get the surgery as soon as possible, so I looked for an ophthalmology clinic that offered same-day surgery and ended up getting it done at Bright Eye Clinic's Jamsil main branch! -SMILE LASIK Surgery Process- I arrived at the clinic in the morning, had an examination, waited, and then had the SMILE LASIK surgery in the afternoon. They put in anesthetic eye drops, I put on a surgical gown, lay down for a moment, and then the surgery began.... Hahaha, this is a bit embarrassing, but I was so nervous... So I really clutched the doll the nurse gave me the whole time. Honestly, the surgery didn't hurt! But when they fixed my eyes with the machine, that was scary for a moment. I had to look at the green light, and I wondered if I was looking at it correctly. Anyway, they did the left and right sides. I was nervous during the left side, but I completely relaxed during the right side, so I just sat there blankly, and the surgery was over! -Recovery Process After the surgery, I had a check-up and headed home. I originally planned to go with my mom, but something came up, so I walked there alone... Still, the clinic is right in front of the station, so it didn't take long to get home. I went there. I was passed out at home, but maybe because the anesthesia wore off, tears started pouring out. Some people said it stings, but for me, it was just a lot of crying. I used artificial tears and eye drops as the hospital instructed, and I was wondering what to do, but it got better suddenly. Aside from that feeling of protein buildup on my contact lenses, nothing felt off! -Conclusion: I was so bored that evening that I went for a walk with my mom, and the glare wasn't as bad as I expected. I was like, "Is the recovery really this fast??" I don't think I need to wear sunglasses, but I'm wearing them just in case. Even at school, aside from my eyes stinging a little, I can see my books and materials clearly, so I'm very satisfied. My vision has actually improved since the day of the surgery, so I'm spreading the word to everyone around me to get SMILE LASIK!!
