What should I look for most when reading reviews for protruding mouth correction?

I'm considering getting braces for my protruding mouth, but I'm confused because the photo angles are all different even when I look up reviews.

While the way the mouth looks less protruding is important, I think I also need to consider whether tooth extraction is necessary and the duration of the treatment.

By the way, how much did you ask about the potential for side effects during your consultation?
