I've been wearing hard contact lenses for about two years, but lately my vision has been getting noticeably blurry. It's fine when I put them in in the morning, but by lunchtime, my vision gets hazy, as if there's oil on the lenses. ㅠㅠ
I make sure to remove protein from the lenses every morning and evening using a dedicated cleaner, but maybe I'm just not very good with my hands, because it feels like I can't clean them perfectly. I'm actually afraid of scratching them if I scrub too hard... I'm worried because I heard that if the protein isn't removed properly, it can cause eye inflammation.
I looked it up, and it seems many people these days use machines that remove protein from hard lenses using ultrasound without touching them. Is it really less painful on the eyes than hand washing? Since these are expensive lenses, I want to take good care of them so I can use them for a long time. If anyone has actually seen results, please share some tips! Haha

Maintenance is really half the battle when it comes to hard drives... I also had a reality check after ruining a lens while wiping it by hand.
You're right ㅠㅠ It's expensive, so it's really upsetting if it tears or gets scratched..
I gave up on removing protein from my hard lenses by hand and got a Daycare lens cleaner, and it's a whole new world.
Oh, I've heard of this too! Does it definitely feel different when you put them on after work?
Yes, I use Daycare too, and perhaps because of the ultrasonic vibrations, the foreign body sensation has significantly decreased. I recommend it!
It's really annoying when protein buildup causes bloodshot eyes... I guess I need to get some help from a machine too.
I'm so busy every morning and it was such a hassle to rub it in with my hands, so thank you for the great information!
It seems like cleanliness is always the top priority when it comes to hard lenses. Thanks for the great tips on removing protein from hard lenses!
