Hi everyone! I'm Peiyun from Taiwan. I'm planning a small beauty trip to Seoul in the second half of this year, mainly to experience the local medical aesthetics and skincare treatments. But honestly, I'm not very familiar with the areas in Seoul, especially when it comes to accommodation and transportation.
I've heard that Gangnam and Apgujeong have many beauty clinics, but I'm not sure if staying in that area is the most cost-effective, or if there are other more convenient areas? Has anyone been before and can share their experience of where they stayed? I'm looking for a place that's convenient for transportation and close to clinics, but I also don't want to spend too much money on accommodation. Also, I wanted to ask everyone, is there a big difference in experience between visiting in winter and summer?
If you have any local tips or personal experiences to share, I'd love to hear them! Thanks everyone~

Hey! I'm actually planning something similar and was wondering the same thing about neighborhoods—so glad you posted this! I've heard Gangnam is convenient but honestly I'm also curious if there are less touristy areas that might be easier on the wallet while still being accessible by metro. Would love to see what others say about timing too!
Hi Pei Wen! As a fellow foreigner, I totally understand how you feel 😊 I find Gangnam and Apgujeong to be really bustling and there are many places, but the prices are also a bit high. You could consider areas nearby but not too central, which are still easily accessible by metro and more reasonably priced. As for the climate, summers are quite hot, and winters are cold; I think it depends on what you feel more comfortable with. Wishing you a smooth trip!
