Hi everyone! My name is Sinta, I'm from Jakarta, and I just joined this community. I've been scrolling through your posts for a long time and felt the need to finally participate, hehe. So, the story is, about a year ago my friend came back from Korea and her facial skin had changed so much—it was glowing, bright, and had great texture. I immediately asked her what she was using, and it turned out she had tried several aesthetic treatments there plus a more serious skincare routine.
Since then, I've become curious about the K-beauty scene and everything that's developing in Korea regarding skincare and aesthetics. Then I started following TikTok, YouTube, and other online communities. But I feel like this community is warmer and more real, so I want to start asking you all who are already experienced.
Actually, I still have a lot to learn about the right skincare routine for my skin (combination, sensitive) and maybe in the future, I'll be curious about aesthetic treatments too. But no pressure, I just want to learn from all your experiences first. Is anyone from Jakarta also here and has tried treatments in Korea? Please share! 💕

Welcome, Shinta! I started getting interested in Korea around the same time. Seeing a friend's skin transform is incredibly convincing, isn't it? 😊 You mentioned having combination and sensitive skin, which I also have, so I'm looking forward to learning a lot from you!
Welcome, welcome! I'm also from Southeast Asia and can totally relate to how you feel 😊 My biggest takeaway from my trip to Seoul last year was discovering a gentle yet effective skincare routine. My skin has been so much more stable since I got back. If you have any questions about sensitive skin, I'd be happy to share my experience!
Hi Cinta! Welcome to the community 😊 I totally get the skincare curiosity after seeing a friend's glow-up — it's wild how much a good routine and professional treatments can change your skin! I'm from the US but visited Korea last year, and honestly the biggest game-changer for my sensitive combo skin was just being way more intentional about the basics before even thinking about treatments. I'd say don't rush into procedures — spend a few months really dialing in what works for your skin first, and the community here is super helpful with that stuff. Looking forward to hearing more about your journey!
