Hi everyone! I'm Maya, from Jakarta. So I've booked my tickets to Seoul next month, and honestly, I'm super excited but also overwhelmed because there are so many skincare options and clinics there. I really want to try some treatments that might not be available or are more expensive here, but I don't know where to start, haha.
I have combination skin, sometimes acne-prone, and I really want to focus on brightening and pore care. I've heard a lot of people say Seoul is a paradise for aesthetic treatments, but I'm still confused about whether to go to a clinic for professional treatments or just focus on skincare products while street shopping. Can anyone share their experiences? Which do you usually prefer? Is it really worth it, or is it just marketing hype?
Also, I heard certain areas in Seoul are great for exploring beauty clinics and skincare shops. Has anyone been there? Or do you have any recommendations on what I should try? My budget is pretty flexible, but I definitely want to make it worth it. Thanks in advance! 🥰

Haha, I'm a foreigner too, I totally understand how you feel! Seoul really has so many choices, it's a bit overwhelming. I think since you're there, you should try them all, but I suggest starting with skincare products to see what suits you best before considering professional treatments. That way you'll have a better understanding. Have you thought about asking friends or browsing forums to see what other people are really saying?
Hi Maya! Your trip was so much fun 🎉 From my experience, maybe try consulting with a therapist at a few places first to find out which one suits your skin, don't rush into a heavy treatment. Regarding products vs. treatments, I think both can be good depending on your routine and your skin condition at the time!
