Hey everyone! So I'm planning my first trip to Korea specifically for some aesthetic treatments and I'm honestly a bit overwhelmed with all the neighborhood options. I keep hearing about Gangnam and Apgujeong but I'm not sure if there's actually a huge difference between them or if it's just hype, you know?
I'm thinking I want to stay somewhere that has a bunch of clinics nearby so I'm not traveling across the city between appointments, but I also want the area to feel nice for exploring when I'm not doing consultations. Does anyone have experience staying in either of those neighborhoods? Are they actually better for finding places, or is it more just that they're famous? I'd love to hear where other foreign visitors have stayed and what your experience was like.
Also curious – is there a general vibe difference between the areas? I want somewhere I can walk around, grab good food, maybe explore a bit. Any tips from people who've done this before would be super helpful! And if there are other neighborhoods I should be looking at instead, I'm totally open to suggestions 🙂

Not sure which clinic to choose?

My last trip to Seoul was also for a beauty treatment. Personally, I think the area around Gangnam station has a high concentration of clinics; many are within walking distance, making it easier to compare prices and choose. However, the cafes and shops in the surrounding area do have a nice atmosphere. It just depends on whether you prioritize convenient medical care or a shopping experience.
