Hello everyone! I'm Wati from Jakarta, and I'm super excited because I'll finally be able to visit Seoul next month for two weeks. This is my first time in Korea, and I want to make the most of this opportunity to explore K-beauty and maybe try some treatments that are hard to find here.
I've heard a lot about great Korean skincare, and there are several well-known clinic areas for aesthetic treatments. But honestly, I'm still confused and afraid of choosing the wrong one because there are so many options, hehe. Do you have any recommendations for skincare products that are worth buying there? Or any clinic experiences that you found life-changing (serious or jokes, anything goes)?
Has anyone consulted with a local therapist/doctor and had treatments explained to them? How do you communicate if there's a language barrier? I should mention that my English is only basic, so I'm a bit nervous about that. I'd be really happy if anyone wants to share their tips or experiences—both positive ones and warnings are welcome! Thanks, everyone! 🥰

Wow, a two-week trip to Seoul sounds amazing! My last visit was also with limited English, but I found that many places actually offer English consultations. You can ask in advance using Google Translate or directly via email – they're usually very accommodating. Here's a little tip: watch some YouTube review videos in Taiwan or online beforehand. This way, you'll have a basic understanding of common treatments, which will make communication on-site much easier! 😊
Wati, I'm rooting for you! I have similar concerns and I'm wondering what I should try when I go to Seoul next. I totally get the language barrier—I only speak English too, so I imagine I'll be using translation apps for consultations, but I wonder how everyone else manages. I'd be so happy if you could share your thoughts after you try something! 🙏
Okay, let's talk! I'm also planning to go to Seoul next month and I'm really looking forward to it 😄 Right now, I'm having the same dilemma about what to choose. Language is also a concern for me, but I've heard that most clinics have English-speaking staff. I hope we can get some good information from others in this group!
Wow, hello there! This is my first time in Seoul too. I'm really curious if you're planning to stay there for 2 weeks specifically for beauty treatments? Or is it just something you're trying out along the way? Because I'm wondering if I should also set aside time for a few treatments, but I'm not sure how far in advance I need to book 😅
