Hey everyone! I'm planning a trip to Seoul in a couple months and I'm super excited to finally do some of the aesthetic stuff I've been researching forever. I know Gangnam and Apgujeong are like *the* areas, but I'm honestly not sure which one would be better for me or where I should actually stay to make things convenient.
For context, I'm thinking about getting a few treatments done while I'm there, and I want to be somewhere walkable with good food and cafes nearby (because let's be real, recovery days need good coffee lol). I've heard Gangnam is more spread out and touristy, but also has tons of clinics? And Apgujeong sounds really upscale and trendy?
Has anyone done a beauty trip to Seoul before and stayed in one of these areas? Which did you prefer? Also, are there other neighborhoods nearby that might be worth considering? I'm trying to figure out the best balance between access to treatments, decent accommodation, and not breaking the bank. Any tips would be really helpful!

I'm also planning a trip to Seoul next month to try some beauty treatments, so this post couldn't have come at a better time! 😄 I've heard Gangnam is quite large but more convenient, while Apgujeong is a bit more upscale and less crowded with tourists, so it really depends on the vibe you're looking for!
Oh, I feel the same way! I'm also planning a trip to Seoul for the same reason, and reading your post makes me even more excited, hehe. From what I've read, Gangnam is indeed busier and has a huge variety of dining and cafe options, perfect if you want to recover while exploring. I hope we both have a great experience there! 😊
I chose to stay in Gangnam last time too because I wanted convenience, and there really are tons of great cafes to relax in after recovery days, just like you mentioned! I found the Gangnam Station area quite comfortable for getting around, whereas Apgujeong is a bit far if you want easy mobility. Wishing you a wonderful trip! 😊
