Hi! My name is Som. I'm planning to go to Seoul next month, and right now I'm just spending my days serving Korean skincare products 😂 I've been trying to find good K-beauty content for a while, but I'm still confused about what I should try.
I've heard a lot about Korean skincare, but I don't know where to go without being ripped off as a tourist. Does anyone have experience trying Korean skincare, beauty products, or facials in Seoul? And are there any small clinics or beauty centers in any particular area that you like? I'd love some tips from someone who's been there!
Also, if anyone has any really good K-beauty skincare products to recommend, whether they're worth buying on your own or specifically in Seoul? Thanks in advance!

I totally understand how you feel! I was also researching what to buy before coming to Seoul, but when I got there I was overwhelmed by all the options 😂 I think that although department stores and Myeongdong are crowded with tourists, at least the prices are more transparent. You can check out what suits you there first, and then try to buy things at places that Koreans also frequent, which are usually cheaper. Plus, you can ask local friends for their opinions~
Hi Some-san! I understand, there are so many options it's hard to know which one to try 😅 When I went to Seoul last month, instead of going to the famous department store cosmetics counters, I tried some simple lines that locals use at small shops in Myeongdong and Hongdae, and I was glad they suited my skin. Also, when I consulted at a small beauty spot near my hotel, they gave me a proper skin diagnosis without trying to push anything on me, so it might be a good idea to look for places like that. I think the best way is to try various things while you're there and find what suits you!
