Hi everyone! I'm Rani from Indonesia, planning to go to Seoul next month specifically for beauty treatments and skincare shopping. This is my first time in Korea, so I'm a bit confused, hehe.
From what I've read, Gangnam and Apgujeong are the best for beauty clinics and aesthetic treatments, but I'd like to hear from my friends here. Is that area really the most complete? Does anyone recommend other areas? I want something accessible but also safe for solo travelers.
So, regarding accommodations, where's the best place to stay if you want to be close to the clinic area but still be able to explore? Budget-wise, I'm flexible, but I prefer something reasonable. Is it worth staying directly in Gangnam, or is it better to find something nearby but more affordable?
Thanks for sharing your experiences! I'm so excited about my first trip to Korea 🙏✨

Hi! When I went, I also stayed in the Gangnam area and found that there are actually a lot of options there. But the tip for solo travel is to find accommodation near a BTS station. It's convenient to walk to various areas, and you can find reasonably priced options. Plus, you can browse skincare shops and other stores. I hope your first trip is a success! 😊
The accommodations in that area are really convenient, but try looking closer to a subway station. It's so much easier to walk everywhere. And if you want to check prices, you might want to check out some nicer places nearby that are more reasonably priced. 😊
To Rani! Actually, I was thinking about something similar, so this post is very helpful 😊 It seems like there are indeed many options in the Qiangnan area. I'm also traveling alone, so I'm looking for a place that's easily accessible and safe. I'd love to hear about your experience later!
Hi Rani! I'm also from Indonesia and just visited Seoul for the first time last month, hehe. Honestly, Gangnam has a lot of options, but I found the area around Myeongdong to be bustling with beauty shops and more walkable if you want to go sightseeing alone—and safer, in my opinion. As for accommodation, maybe try looking for an area near a station connected to Gangnam, so access is easy but the price can be more reasonable? Good luck with your trip! 💕
