I've heard that Gangnam is a hub for beauty clinics, but I'm not sure which area is better for walking around and finding accommodation.

Has anyone been there before? Could you recommend which area is best for walking around, has fun restaurants, and reasonably priced accommodation? I'm currently looking at hostels or small resorts, but I'm confused whether I should stay right in Gangnam or go to another area that might be more convenient.
