Hi everyone! I'm Bunga from Indonesia, and I'm planning a trip to Seoul next month specifically for aesthetic treatments and skincare. This is my first time in Korea, so I'm still really confused, haha.
From what I've read on forums, Gangnam and Apgujeong seem to be famous for beauty clinics and skincare. But I'm still not sure—which area is more suitable for foreigners? In terms of price, access, or vibe? Has anyone experienced traveling to those areas? Is it worth the trip, or are there other areas that are nicer but more affordable?
Oh yeah, about accommodation—for a beauty trip, is it better to stay close to the clinic, or in a busier area but a bit further away? I want to balance treatment time with exploring. How long do you usually stay on a treatment trip like this?
I'd love to share experiences or tips! Thanks in advance 😊

I'm a foreigner too, so I understand how you feel! I think both the South and the Yaqu area have their advantages; it mainly depends on your itinerary and budget. Personally, I prefer accommodation closer to the clinic, so you can rest immediately after your treatment without worrying about travel fatigue, but this might mean missing out on some sightseeing. However, if you have plenty of time, staying in a more bustling area is also a good option, allowing you to combine shopping and sightseeing.
Haha, I'm planning a similar trip too! I heard that the Qiangnan area is indeed crowded but has many options. However, I'd like to find a place to stay in the city center that's close to the subway first. That way, it'll be convenient to go for treatments and I can also go out for a stroll anytime. I feel like my schedule will be more flexible.
