Hi everyone! My is My, and I'm planning a beauty-focused trip to Seoul next month. I'd like to ask for some advice from other international members of this community.
I've heard that Gangnam and Apgujeong have many spas and beauty clinics, but I'm not sure about the differences between them. Has anyone been to these places? Which one do you find better, and why? I'm also curious about the price differences between the areas, or if it's just a feeling.
Regarding accommodation, I'm torn between staying near the beauty areas or in the city center. Does anyone know of an area that's both convenient and not too expensive? I want to balance sightseeing and a reasonable budget. Thanks everyone! 😊

I totally understand your dilemma! I was also struggling with which area to stay in when I went to Seoul last time 😅 Both areas are indeed very popular, but I felt that Kangnam had more options and was better for shopping, although the Yakuza (Korean resort) definitely has its charm. I think the key is to consider what kind of experience you want. Maybe you should first decide what activities you want to try, and then see which area is closer and more convenient?
Last time I went to Seoul, I was also torn about where to stay. I ended up staying near Gangnam because the subway was very convenient for getting to other shopping areas, and there were lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, making it feel more lively than the main area! However, I haven't personally compared the differences in clinics between the two areas, but I've heard that Gangnam offers more options, which might be easier for foreign tourists to find 😊
The first time I went, I was confused about where to go. It's a good idea to ask at Helpmap, and read lots of reviews from foreigners beforehand, because some places are really good at giving advice to international visitors!
My first time going to Gangnam was quite chaotic, but if you want to do some shopping, it's really convenient! Personally, I prefer the feel of Apgujeong because it's quieter, although it might be a bit far from the city. Looking at your travel plans again, Gangnam would be great for late-night shopping or visiting friends and family 😊
