I was also struggling with which area to stay in when I went to Seoul last time 😅 Both areas are indeed very popular, but I felt that Kangnam had more options and was better for shopping, although the Yakuza (Korean resort) definitely has its charm. I think the key is to consider what kind of experience you want. Maybe you should first decide what activities you want to try, and then see which area is closer and more convenient?

My first time going to Gangnam was quite chaotic, but if you want to do some shopping, it's really convenient! Personally, I prefer the feel of Apgujeong because it's quieter, although it might be a bit far from the city. Looking at your travel plans again, Gangnam would be great for late-night shopping or visiting friends and family 😊
