I've been using Korean skincare products for like three years now and I'm dying to experience the whole thing in person — the sheet masks, the glass skin aesthetic, all of it.

I'm planning to spend a good chunk of my trip just exploring skincare and maybe some light aesthetic experiences, but I'm totally lost on what's actually worth doing versus what's just tourist hype. Like, I've heard people rave about getting facials done there, and obviously the skincare shopping is legendary. Has anyone here actually gotten any treatments done while visiting? I'm curious what the experience was really like — not looking to do anything major, just interested in what makes it different from getting stuff done at home.

Also, if anyone has favorite neighborhoods or areas to explore for beauty stuff, I'd love to hear! I know there are certain districts known for this kind of thing but I don't want to just follow the Instagram algorithm, you know?
