Hi everyone! My name is Yen, and I'm flying to Seoul next week and I'm a little nervous 😄 This is my first time going to Korea, so I want to learn about skincare and aesthetic experiences there. I've heard that Korean skincare is great, but besides buying products, what other services are worth trying?
Has anyone tried any skincare clinics or light treatments there? I want to know what it's like, if they're good quality, and what I should prepare. I have combination skin with a few breakouts, so I'd like to see if there are any suitable services.
Also, which areas in Seoul are centers for these establishments? I've heard of Gangnam and Myeongdong many times, but I don't know what they're like in reality. Do you have any advice or tips for a newbie like me? Thank you so much! 🥰

Hello Yan! This is my first time in Seoul too, I'm super excited! I've heard there are a lot of beauty clinics in Gangnam, but to be honest, I'm not sure which one is the best. I might have to ask the hotel staff or search on Google Maps. I have combination skin that's prone to acne, so I'm a little worried about whether treatments in an unfamiliar place will suit me. But everyone seems to say that consultations in Korea are pretty good, so maybe I should make an appointment and ask first? 😄
Cool! When I went to Selena Gomez for the first time, one of the things I liked was that when you go to these places, the staff will invite you to try a light treatment first to see how your skin responds, which is great for problematic skin like yours. I recommend preparing a list of questions and bringing Thai or a translation tool beforehand. 😊
Hey Yen, I'm also Vietnamese and I went to Seoul last time! I have a little tip: you should check out a few places in person to see the facilities and talk to the staff, because each place is very different, especially for combination skin with acne like yours. Gangnam and Myeongdong are really crowded but also more expensive. There are other great areas if you want to explore more! 💕
Hi Yen! Your first trip to Seoul was so much fun 😊 I'm curious, when you were looking for information about skin treatments there, did anyone recommend any specific places? Because I also have complex skin and want to know how the process works and how long a session usually takes.
