Hey everyone! So I'm finally booking a trip to Seoul in a couple months and I'm really excited but also totally overwhelmed lol. I'm interested in exploring the beauty scene while I'm there, and I keep hearing about areas like Gangnam and Apgujeong being like the hub for everything aesthetic. Has anyone stayed in those neighborhoods before? I'm trying to figure out which area would be best to base myself in if I want to check out different clinics and treatment spots.
I'm also curious — are those areas actually as walkable as they seem, or is it better to stay somewhere else and take the subway? And honestly, are there other neighborhoods that have good vibes for this stuff that maybe aren't as touristy? I don't want to feel like I'm just going from one big chain place to another if that makes sense.
Also any tips on what to expect as a foreign visitor? I'm a bit nervous about the language barrier and making sure I'm going to reputable places. Would love to hear from other people who've done this! Any advice super appreciated 🙏

Haha, I'm planning a similar itinerary! I think your concerns are totally valid. I don't want to just follow the typical tourist path either; I'm looking for something more local. I've heard the subway is actually quite convenient, so maybe staying a bit further out could lead to discovering more interesting neighborhoods. That way, you can really experience the daily life of Koreans!
