Hi everyone! I'm Mai, and I'm going to Seoul next month and I'm super hyped! 😆 It's been a long time since I've heard so much about K-beauty treatments there, from face masks and serums to skincare services at salons. I really want to try some things but I'm a little confused about where to start.
Has anyone else been to Seoul and tried any beauty experiences? I want to know what it's like, if it's safe, and what I should prepare before I go. I'm worried about communication difficulties as a foreigner, but I've heard there are many places that welcome international customers, so it should be pretty good.
Also, I want to buy some skincare products. Does anyone know of any areas that sell a lot of authentic K-beauty products, or should I buy from large stores? What should we be aware of when buying to avoid being scammed? Please help me! 💕

Hello! My last trip to Seoul was also my first time trying Korean cosmetics, and I was so excited! 😄 My tip is to buy products at large department stores in Myeongdong or Gangnam. There's a wider selection, you don't have to worry about counterfeit goods, and the staff are more accustomed to serving foreign customers. As for skincare services, I suggest asking the counters at your hotel or guesthouse for recommendations. They usually suggest places with English or Chinese services, which is more reassuring! Good luck, I'm sure you'll have a great time! 💕
I also went to Seoul for the first time last year and I understand how you feel! 😊 Actually, skincare establishments there are very friendly to foreigners; some staff speak English, or you can use Google Translate. When buying products, going to large stores or well-known shopping malls is safer than buying from small shops, and of course, ask friends who have experience for advice! 💕
I went to Southampton before! I recommend checking out the larger department stores because they have many counters and each one has English-speaking staff. The prices will be slightly higher than online, but it's safer 😊 And if you want to try skincare services in-store, ask around and they'll arrange an appointment. Some places even understand English!
