I'm incredibly stressed these days because of an epidermal cyst on my shoulder.

The lump started small but kept getting bigger, and now I experience throbbing pain whenever it rubs against my collar or I carry a bag. I went to the hospital and was told it is an epidermal cyst.

I was told that I shouldn't just leave it alone and that the sac needs to be completely removed. I looked it up online and read that if I just roughly squeeze it out, it will recur quickly, so I absolutely want to have the sac cleanly dissected in one go to eliminate the risk of recurrence.

Since it's on my shoulder, I'm worried that the wound might open up or leave a long scar when I move after surgery.

I want to get rid of it completely without recurrence and remove it cleanly using a micro-incision so there is no scarring. I heard that it is better to go to a plastic surgery clinic rather than a general surgery clinic.
