Hi all! I'm Mia from the US (specifically California) and I just found this community. I'm honestly so pumped to be here because I've been kind of obsessed with Korean skincare for the past year or so, and it's gotten me curious about aesthetic treatments too.
So basically, I started with sheet masks and serums during the pandemic like everyone else lol, but then I got really into understanding ingredients and skincare philosophy. The whole approach just feels different, you know? Less is more but also like... very intentional? Anyway, that rabbit hole led me to learning about treatments people get in Korea, and now I'm genuinely interested in what that experience is like. I'm not sure if I'd actually do anything yet, but I love reading about people's journeys.
I'm still super new to all this so I have so many questions! I'd love to hear from people who've visited Korea for treatments, or who just live there and have insights. Also curious what everyone's favorite K-beauty products are because I'm always looking to try new things. Nice to meet you all! 💙

Welcome to the community, Mia! I totally get the K-beauty obsession—I started the same way during lockdown with sheet masks and ended up going down the same rabbit hole lol. If you do decide to explore treatments in Korea, I'd say just take your time researching and ask lots of questions before committing to anything. The skincare philosophy there really is different, and honestly just soaking in everyone's experiences here first helps so much! 💙
Hai Mia, welcome!
Welcome! I totally get the obsession with K-beauty — the whole philosophy is just different, right? My tip: once you start exploring treatments, definitely ask lots of questions and take your time deciding, because Korean clinics can move pretty fast. Also, if you ever go to Korea, it helps to have a Korean friend translate the details, even if the staff speaks English!
