For skincare specifically — I have combination skin that gets really dehydrated in winter — should I just go to the big department store skincare sections or are there specific neighborhoods that are better? Also I'm curious about trying treatments while I'm there, like facials or skin consultations, but I'm nervous about the language barrier and not knowing what's actually good vs. overhyped.

Has anyone done this before? What were your must-do skincare experiences that actually felt worth it? And any tips on how to find trustworthy places without just randomly walking in somewhere? I want to be smart about it but also just soak in the whole vibe, you know?
