Hey! I'm Camille, just joined the community and super excited to be here. I'm from the US (California, specifically) but I've been totally drawn into Korean skincare and beauty culture over the past year or so. It honestly started with me watching some YouTube videos during lockdown and I just... fell down the rabbit hole, haha.
I think what got me hooked was how different the whole approach is? Like, everyone here talks about layering products and hydration instead of just stripping everything and starting over, which is what I grew up doing. Plus I love how Korean aesthetics clinics seem to focus on natural-looking results and enhancing what you have rather than drastic changes. I haven't done any treatments yet, but I'm definitely curious about learning more.
I'm still pretty new to understanding all the terms and what actually works vs. what's just hype, so I'm hoping to lurk, ask dumb questions, and learn from you all. Any tips for a beginner who's mostly just been experimenting with skincare products so far? Also happy to chat about the K-beauty rabbit hole if anyone else is in the same boat 😄
