Is lens implantation surgery commonly performed on people with high myopia?

I looked into lens implantation surgery and heard that it is often performed when LASIK or LASEK is difficult.

I have high myopia and am looking into vision correction, but I'm not sure yet which method is right for me.

I like that lens implantation doesn't involve cutting the cornea, but I'm worried about putting it inside my eye.

I'm also curious if the examination will accurately determine the lens size or whether I can have the procedure.

For those of you who have had lens implantation surgery, what was your biggest concern when making the decision?
