Hi everyone! So I'm planning a trip to Seoul in a few months and I really want to explore some beauty treatments while I'm there. I've heard so much about the beauty culture there and I'm honestly excited but also a bit overwhelmed trying to figure out logistics.
I keep seeing Gangnam and Apgujeong mentioned everywhere online, but I'm not sure if those are actually the best neighborhoods for what I'm looking for, or if they're just hyped up? Like, are there other areas that foreigners recommend? I'm curious what your actual experiences have been — where did you stay and why did you like it?
Also, for anyone who's done treatments while traveling there, how long did you usually stay? I'm trying to plan how many days to book. And any tips on finding places that are used to working with English-speaking patients? I speak basically zero Korean lol, so that's a real concern for me.
Would love to hear where you guys had the best experience, even if it wasn't one of the fancy-sounding areas! TIA 💕

Honestly, I'd say staying somewhere central like Myeongdong or Gangnam makes it way easier to get around for appointments without getting lost! I was super worried about the language barrier too, but I found that having a translation app open and showing pictures of what I wanted actually worked really well – way better than I expected. Definitely give yourself at least 4-5 days if you want time to explore between visits, because recovery and scheduling can be unpredictable!
I totally get the language worry—I was so nervous about that too before my trip! Honestly, staying somewhere central like Myeongdong or Gangnam gives you easy access to different areas, so you're not locked into one neighborhood. I'd say give yourself at least 5-7 days if you want to explore a bit and not feel rushed, especially since some places need a consultation first. The English situation varies a lot, so maybe try reaching out to a few places beforehand through their websites or social media to ask about English-speaking staff? That way you'll know before you book. Good luck with your trip! 💕
